"Every student can learn,
just not on the same day,
or the same way"- George Evans
Each child is unique and will develop differently physically, socially and intellectually. It is important to listen to our students needs and work to create an environment to suit all individuals learning strengths. Individual’s have preferences for processing new information through auditory, visual and kinaesthetically means.
Knowing students and how they learn can have huge effects on how lessons are delivered, the teaching styles that are used and how you communicate with your students.

By understanding how students learn we are able to structure lesson plans and content positively. I strongly believe in differentiated learning as it fosters a supportive environment where students are challenged at their point of need and can develop through achievable tasks.

Forming rapport and relationships with students outside of the classroom for me is regarded as highly important. By spending quaility time with students outside of the classroom including school camps, excursions, and sporting days, there is a greater understanding and level of respect formed between student and teacher.
